Mike Wilkinson, an established songwriter, pianist and piano teacher, studied at the Berklee College of  Music and received Master Certificates in Songwriting and Music Business. Mike began his songwriting journey at the age of 14, writing lyrics and then at 16, composed his first instrumental piece. From 2004-2006, while attending the Berklee College of Music, Mike wrote numerous songs and compositions that received high acclaim. In 2012, Mike was invited to Nashville by Shane Adams to record and produce an album in his studio. This was a dream come true for Mike who wrote The Nashville Piano, a collection of 10 Neo-Classical pieces for the piano. These pieces showcased Mike's new take on the poetic qualities of the instrument.  In 2016, Mike was the pianist for the heavy metal band Tattered. In 2016, Mike began teaching young pianists to motivate them to enjoy the piano and eventually became an elementary piano specialist. This is where the inspiration for Between The Keys came from. Mike hopes that this collection of music can be shared with the rest of the world, motivating children and adults alike to learn the piano, in the same way that he was motivated all those years ago.
