I make sure lessons are student focused and that they are fun first and foremost. With the lessons being fun, I've found that you learn more and are able to retain what you've learned. I use games to introduce rhythms and various other concepts that might seem too advanced for the kids. I also like to laugh with them and make sure that I make it a priority to have them laugh at me.
